New Year, Crowded Gym

by Stefani Lawless on January 16th, 2014 in Every Day Tips, College Trends, Guide To College Living

As the spring months begin approaching and people’s new year resolutions are still high, the gym seems to be getting more crowded. Personally, I have already heard many students on campus complaining about the over packed student recreation center. In order to continue your normal gym routine as you have before everyone wanting a spring break body came about, keep these things in mind.

Go to the gym early in the morning or late at night. Most people who are just starting workout routines do not go at these times. This will enable anyone to keep their routine going without being interrupted or all the machines being full. Another thing to do to avoid gym overcrowding is to do cardio outside of the gym. Run outside, jump rope or take the dog for a walk.

Also, check out any classes that are offered at your student recreation center. A lot of times these are not full and they are free with your tuition. Changing your workout is good to do, and this gets you away from all the crowded machinery, even if it only is for one day.

Usually after March the gym slows back down to normal, but for now, hopefully these tips help your workout be a little less stressful!
